Birth Doula Preparation for Health Care Professionals
Earn Your DONA International Birth Doula Certification
Birth doulas assist women and their families in having a satisfying birth experience. Doula is a Greek word meaning “servant of the woman.” Birth doulas are trained to support a woman emotionally, as well as educated to help the client determine the services and information that she needs during labor and childbirth. The birth doula also learns to provide non-medical comfort measures.
