Howard Community College offers this 40-hour training, which provides a comprehensive overview of conflict resolution and intensive/interactive mediation skills building and satisfies the training requirement for designation by Maryland Circuit Courts as a mediator. Training involves small group discussions and exercises, coached role playing, videos, and lecture. Manual provided. Please bring lunch for Saturday sessions. Instructor Barbara Blake Williams has a private practice and has served as court-appointed mediator for several courts. She holds an M.P.A. in public administration, M.Ed. in counseling, and a J.D. 40 credit hours (category 1) approved by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners.
