About Black Ankle Vineyards

The 2012 Vino Scholastico featured speakers from Maryland's award-winning Black Ankle Vineyards who  revealed their incredible story while providing a tasting of their wines.  Their discussion  covered the history of the vineyard, and focused on the key elements that go into making a world-class wine in Marylalnd.

Established less than 10 years ago, the Mt. Airy based vineyard has won the prestigious Maryland Governor's Cup three times out of four vintages it has released, and in 2011 was named one of the top 10 hottest small brands in the United States by Wine Business Monthly.
