Original Devised Play: "MAKING ADVANCES"
An Original Devised Play:
"MAKING ADVANCES: Revealing Stories of Gender & Sexual Identity"
JUNE 7 - 17, 2018
Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and **Sundays at 3:00 p.m. in HCC's Studio Theatre
Directed by S.G. Kramer
Conceived by the Actors & Creatives
Journey through unparalleled and unexpected styles of storytelling where gender and sexual identity are at its very core. The premiere of this original play will speak to how we see each other, how we want to be seen, how we simply are – through self-discovery, censorship, provocation, and appropriation. “Making Advances” will engage, expand, and continue this necessary, ever-evolving, ever-revolving conversation – through evocative and imaginative movement, lighting, sound, media, costumes, with text woven throughout (stories familiar… or not) which will surprise, transcend and explore these themes between the here and now to the ethereal.
* Parental Guidance Note: No one under 14 years of ages admitted.
** Join Us! Revealing Post Show Discussions will follow Sunday's June 10 and June 17, 3:00 p.m. performances.

F.A.Q. = About AC's Original Works Process:
AC’s unique original works process (this will be AC's 8th+) are absolutely our favorite, most artistically fulfilling projects!
- AC’s original productions are developed during the rehearsal process via rehearsed improv, music, movement, and more… with the ENTIRE company! A process which has been celebrated as magical, exciting, artistically fulfilling!
- A Work in Progress: Our original works are works in progress, developed throughout the rehearsal process… however, once a story-line is decided, characters gelled - the production is “set in stone”.
- Scenes within our original productions may be scripted, however, many require simple outlines, with little to no memorization. This tried and true formula has served our processes magically and beautifully.
