Registration is the actual process of signing up for the classes you want to take each term.  To register for credit classes, it is important to:

• Meet with an advisor to ensure you are signing up for the correct courses.
• Demonstrate that you have fulfilled the required prerequisites and received the appropriate clearance from the Office of Admissions and Advising, if applicable. 
• Students planning to take more than 18 credits during a semester are required to obtain an advisor’s consent. 
• Some courses, such as honors classes, also require additional consent. 

HCC offers a variety of registration methods, including:  

• HCC Express online registration — 8:00 am to midnight
• Touchtone Telephone registration — 410-772-4310
• In person registration* — Office of Records and Registration (Photo ID Required) 

* After the first day of the semester, courses may only be added in person. All students are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the college’s early registration options.
