Apply for Work-Study

Complete the "How to Apply" process. Be sure to include HCC's school code (008175) on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You must also answer yes to the question "Are you interested in the work-study program?" on the FAFSA.
The U.S. Department of Education (DOE) will process your FAFSA and forward an electronic copy of your Student Aid Report (SAR) to Financial Aid Services.
Finacial Aid Services will review your SAR to determine if you were selected for a review process called verification and/or if you need to submit additional documents to complete your file.
If necessary, you will be mailed a request for missing information letter that will list the required documents needed to complete your file.
Financial Aid Services will review the information within 20 business days from the date the last document is received.
Once your file is reviewed and completed, you will be mailed a notification of awards that will include specific instructions on how to apply for a work-study position.
