F1 Student Services
Our international student admissions and advising staff provides assistance with admissions procedures, academic advising, and immigration matters related to enrollment including preparation, maintenance, and transfer of I-20s. They also help students experiencing problems or concerns and refer students to other college services, such as personal and career counseling and free tutoring services.
The Office of Admissions and Advising hosts orientation programs for international students new to the college. International students who are already enrolled at the college participate in these programs and share their experiences with new students. The Office of Admissions and Advising also offers international events and activities, such as workshops on taxes and Optional Practical Training, as well as informal gatherings, such as final exam study breaks.
International students are important participants in the college's numerous diversity programs, including its annual Diversity Day, an event that features food, arts, crafts, music, and dance highlighting customs from the many different cultures represented within the college community. The college also has a Global Student Union that sponsors numerous activities.

Additionally, the college has a wide range of services, activities, and leadership opportunities available to all its students, such as student government, the student newspaper, and many different clubs and other programs that enhance student life.
The college has a rich cultural arts program, housed in our beautiful new Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts building. HCC hosts at least two trips per year to New York City enabling students to go sightseeing and attend Broadway shows. Online services, including free email services, are also available to all students.
Although the college does not offer student housing, the local community and the surrounding region have a wide range of housing options. Local bus service is available to and from campus.
The college's cafeteria is open for three meals a day Monday through Thursday, and for breakfast and lunch on Friday during our fall and spring semesters. The cafeteria provides numerous options for students who are vegetarians.
