First Semester

  • ENGL-096: Fundamentals of Reading (3 credits)* OR ENGL-097: Fundamentals of Writing (3 credits)*
  • General Education Core Course—FINE-101: Humanities Through the Arts (3 credits)
  • Math Preparatory Course** (4-6 credits) OR Math General Education Core Course as appropriate (3-4 credits)**
  • General Education Core Course—CMSY-110: Software Applications for Micros (3 credits) OR CMSY-129: Principles of Internet (3 credits)
  • ENTR-100: Introductionto the Entrepreneurial Process (2 credits)
  • Program Seminar (1 credit)
    Total Credits: 15-16

Second Semester

  • ENGL-097: Fundamentals of Writing (3 credits)* OR ENGL-121: College Composition I: Expository Writing (3 credits)*
  • Math Preparatory Course** (4-6 credits) OR Math General Education Core course if appropriate (3-4 credits)**
  • General Education Core course—SPCH-105: Fundamentals of Public Speaking OR SPCH-110: Interpersonal Communication is recommended (3 credits)
  • Course related to program of study (3 credits)

Third Semester

  • General Education Core course—ENGL-121: College Composition I: Expository Writing (3 credits) OR ENGL-122: College Composition II: Writing through Literature (3 credits)

Fourth Semester

  • General Education Core course—ENGL-122: College Composition II: Writing Through Literature (3 credits) OR ENGL-210: Introduction to Fiction, Poetry and Drama (3 credits)

  • General Education Core course—HIST-111: American History to 1877 (3 credits)
  • General Education Core course—SOCI-101: Introduction to Sociology (3 credits)

Fifth Semester

  • General Education Core course—ENGL-210: Introduction to Fiction, Poetry, and Drama (3 credits), if not previously taken
  • Math General Education Core course if appropriate (3-4 credits)** OR General Education Core Course (3 credits)
  • General Education Core course—Science Core course related to program; if none is specified, recommendation is:
    • GEOL-107: Introduction to Physical Geology (3 credits) AND
    • GEOL-117: Introduction to Physical Geology Lab (1 credit)
  • General Education Core course: PSYC-101: General Psychology (3 credits) OR Social Science Core course related to program of study
  • Course(s) related to program of study (3-7 credits)
    Total Credits: 14-17

Sixth Semester
The sixth semester will be customized to meet the needs of each student according to her/his program of study and/or transfer and career plans.

* Student's English sequence will be determined by the English placement test results.
** Student's mathematics sequence will be determined by the mathematics placement test, in most cases, and by program of study.

Please note that the curriculum may be adapted to meet each student's specific transfer goals.  Program adjustments could impact credit totals.
