Information Sessions

Information sessions are held throughout the year for all of HCC's allied health programs.  The college also offers special info sessions as program requirements change.

Students who need a sign language interpreter for information sessions and other events should call HCC using the Maryland Relay.  Students who require other accommodations should call the Office of Admissions and Advising at 410-772-4856, then select #3 to leave a voicemail message, or e-mail adm-adv@howardcc.edu.  All inquiries will be responded to within two business days.  Students are also welcome to visit the Office of Admissions and Advising in person to request accommodations for these events.  Please provide as much notice as possible when requesting accommodations.

Clinical Nursing Admission Assessment (Accelerated & Traditional RN, and LPN)

Applicants for the clinical portion of the Accelerated RN, Traditional RN, and LPN programs are required to complete the Clinical Nursing Admission Assessment as part of the qualification process for the clinical nursing program.  The following information sessions will specificially address this new requirement.

Traditional Nursing (RN & LPN)

Potential Nursing Students:
Before you meet with an advisor in the Office of Admissions and Advising, you are REQUIRED to register for and attend one of the following nursing information sessions.  Register by contacting the Office of Admissions and Advising (RCF-242) by phone at 410-772-4230, or by emailing alliedhealth@howardcc.edu.

You may attend a session at either the main campus or the Laurel College Center.  The information session at Laurel will also briefly cover the Accelerated program, but will focus mainly on the Traditional programs.

LPN Pathway

This program is intended for students who possess an active unencumbered LPN license in the state of Maryland.  Contact the Office of Admissions and Advising (RCF-242) at 410-772-4230 (or alliedhealth@howardcc.edu) for more program information or to register for a session.
