  • Most University of Maryland System general education core courses will be accepted.
  • HCC does not accept preparatory or developmental courses towards a degree program or college level credit which does not apply to a degree program.
  • HCC will accept “D” grades in courses which meet general education core requirements or elective credit.  A grade of “C” or higher is required for prerequisite courses for allied health clinical programs including Nursing, Cardiovascular Technology, Emergency Medical Services, and Radiologic Technology.  It is important that students recognize that upon transfer to another institution it is unlikely that the “D” grade will satisfy specific course requirements related to majors or prerequisite courses for competitive and limited enrollment programs.
