| The future is in communications and predominantly in telecommunications. This area of study will provide grassroots training to develop qualified technicians, supervisors, and trainers in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting modern communication networks incorporating fiber optics, cellular, microwave, and satellite systems. Hands-on skills will be emphasized to enable students to face real-world situations which will prepare them for entering industry. Students planning to transfer to a four-year technical institution should contact that institution to check transferable courses. This curriculum prepares students to sit for the A+ certification and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification exams. |
