| Construction managers work in a rapidly growing area of professional employment. This program provides students with the foundation of knowledge and skills necessary to perform a management role in the construction industry. Students will acquire the fundamental technical and management skills needed to organize, operate, and manage both large and small construction projects. Graduates will apply these skills as professionals in both office settings and in the field. The curriculum includes lecture, lab, and field site experiences that give students a solid background in the areas of cost control, planning, scheduling, project management, safety, and documentation. This area of study also includes a concentration on general studies, with coursework in the physical sciences, economics, ethics, and communications. Students who are interested in a bachelor’s degree are advised to check the requirements of the institution to which they intend to transfer. |
