Students are introduced to a nutritional assessment program. Students evaluate current nutritional status and develop strategies to improve weak areas. Various group discussions, lectures, and labs provide the students with the means to critically evaluate his/her dietary practices.

Overall Course Objectives
Once you have completed this course you will be able to:
Identify the fundamental principles and concepts of good nutrition.
- Describe the laws of wellness and evaluate their personal wellness based on them.
- Develop a plan for improvement of personal nutrition after analyzing individual status.
- Acquire the knowledge of and ability to use resources necessary for improvement and maintenance of personal nutrition.
- Develop an awareness of, and be able to explain the role of personal accountability on individual dietary practices.
