Who Was Silas Craft?

Silas E. Craft, Sr. (1913-1995) was an education pioneer in Howard County. He guided the opening of Harriet Tubman High School, the county’s first senior high school for African American students. Mr. Craft enriched the lives of thousands through the power of learning. Howard Community College is proud to honor his legacy by naming this program after him.
