The Frederick K. Schoenbrodt Honors Program admits students who meet one or more of the following criteria:

• A high school or college cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher or a combined score of 1100 on the SAT (critical reading and math) and/or an ACT composite score of 25 or higher
• An HCC student with an HCC GPA of 3.2 or higher with a minimum of 6 but no more than 24 college-level credits completed
• A GPA of 3.2 or better at another institution for applicants who are transferring to HCC

Entry into an individual honors course by a non-honors participant will be by the consent of the instructor of the course or by the director of the Honors Program.

In certain circumstances the college may consider the applications of students for whom traditional indices of academic accomplishment may not be valid.
