Schoenbrodt Honors Program

Eligibility

The Frederick K. Schoenbrodt Honors Program admits students who meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • A high school or college cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher or a combined score of 1100 on the SAT and an ACT composite score of 25 or higher
  • If you are already an HCC student, an HCC GPA of 3.2 or higher and completion of 12 or more credits
  • A GPA of 3.2 at another institution for applicants who are transferring in to HCC
  • Honors students maintain a yearly cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at HCC and participate in honors-designated events each semester.

Entry into an individual honors course by a nonhonors track participant will be by the consent of the instructor of the course or by the director of the Honors Program.

In certain circumstances the college may consider the applications of students for whom traditional indices of academic accomplishment may not be valid
