This state approved consortium is designed to increase the number of allied health professionals in critical shortage areas. The agreement is to share specific allied health programs between HCC, Carroll Community College (CCC), and Frederick Community College (FCC). Students complete general education course work at HCC, then apply through HCC to complete clinical course work at CCC or FCC. Each college saves a certain number of clinical seats for consortium students. Students must be legal residents of Howard, Carroll, or Frederick counties to be eligible for these programs.
Applications for Mid-Maryland Allied Healthcare Education Consortium (MMAHEC) programs are available on the respective consortium school websites during application periods. Applicants to these programs must meet with an allied health advisor at their home school to submit their application materials.
