The Muse

The Literary and Arts Magazine of Howard Community College

If you’ve strolled through Duncan Hall, you’ve seen the framed poetry of some of the students whose work has been published in The Muse. The poems invite you to slow down and to understand that there are always poets in the house, always those who will take the time to try to compress a feeling, an idea, an image, or a story into something you and I can receive through our eyes, if we will, in a minute or less, and perhaps, elsewhere, later, unpack more slowly still in our minds, test out in the tongue of our own hearts.

You can take as long as you like here, to read through all of our current and past issues. There is no one to hurry you through the hallway.

Thank you for taking the time to Muse. Are you too a poet (or a writer, artist, photographer) in the house?  Add your voice to themuse@howardcc.eduSubmission Information
