ESL students will continue to strengthen their reading skills in ENGL-086 with emphasis on academic material. In this class, reading is also approached as an integral component of the larger communicative system that is the English language. In addition to reading comprehension and vocabulary skill building, students will improve their ability to communicate the information and concepts contained in assigned materials orally and in writing. (5 hours weekly in class and lab)
