In this course, reading is approached as an integral part of an ESL student's overall English language learning, not as an isolated skill.  In addition to reading comprehension and vocabulary skill building, students will respond to information and concepts from a diversity of assigned materials, both orally and in writing. Prerequisite:  Appropriate score on English placement tests. (4 hours weekly between class and lab)
