What is ENGL-121 RALP?
The Accelerated Learning Program for Reading (RALP) allows students with appropriate placement scores to take ENGL-121 earlier than traditional placement procedures allow.

What is the benefit to taking ENG-121 RALP?
Students do not need to take a separate reading class (ENGL 096), thus saving money and time.
Students are not required to take FYEX 100 although it is recommended.
ENGL 121- RALP is transferable.
Students are eligible to take classes that have an ENGL 121 co-requisite.
How are ENGL-121 RALP sections different from traditional ENGL-121 sections?
ENGL-121 RALP sections meet 4 hours per week instead of 3, yet students only pay for 3 credits.
Academic reading skills are infused into the ENG-121 RALP sections to support student success.
ENGL-121 RALP sections are challenging in that more time and effort is expected; students need to be aware of and accept that challenge
