Sandra taught composition courses at CCBC and ESL classes at the ELLC as an adjunct and served as a part-time advisor at the EI until she joined English/World Languages faculty in 2011. Sandra’s interests include freshmen composition, developmental and ESL reading and writing, and literature. 

She values the diverse teaching opportunities she has had over the years, and when designing her courses, she focuses on critical thinking, raising cultural and global awareness, and empowering students while improving their reading and writing skills. In addition to teaching, Sandra serves as a Step-up coach and a tutor at the CLC and is involved in WAC and various grant projects that deal with adding diversity to the curricula.

Sandra likes to travel, watch movies and documentaries, and take walks.
