After four years in the public schools, Sue made the transition to Howard Community College and found her home.  HCC has nourished her creative energy and her passion for teaching.  She has a special interest in providing challenging and rewarding learning opportunities for developmental students.  In addition to teaching, Sue is the director of Step UP, a program that pairs students with faculty or staff "coaches" or mentors.  In Step UP, students know they matter.

In addition to teaching, Sue is active in the HCC college community and the developmental education committee.  She has created online courses including the first class to receive recognition from the Maryland Quality Matters Project for outstanding online classes.
