Jennifer came to HCC as an adjunct in 2007 and became full time faculty in 2008. She holds a Bachelor’s in English from the College of Wooster in Ohio, known for its innovative First Year Seminar program and rigorous culminating Independent Study project. She received her Master’s degree in English with a Writing Concentration from Western Connecticut State University where she also served as a teaching assistant. Jennifer is from Ohio, but on her way to Maryland made many stops, living in Buffalo, NY, Rochester, NY and Connecticut (2 times). Outside of class, Jennifer enjoys watching her kids play soccer and dance, reading and taking trips to the beach or lake.
Jennifer has extensive professional writing experience as a journalist and public relations professional. She is currently co-coordinator of English 097, the adviser to the HCC student newspaper, The Times, co-facilitator of the Faculty Learning Community of Universal Design and a Step-Up coach.
