Dr. Dardello has been teaching English at HCC since 1993.  Although she has taught a variety of courses, her specialty areas are developmental writing,  instructional and curriculum development, and assessment.  She is especially interested in emotional intelligence and how these skills can be used to navigate successfully through academia and life in general.  Dr. Dardello has served on numerous committees during her tenure at HCC; however, she has derived the most pleasure and satisfaction serving as coordinator for the developmental writing program, being a StepUp coach, and being a member of several faculty learning communities.  While Dr. Dardello enjoys spending time with her husband and son, singing, reading, and writing critical commentaries of Biblical texts, her passion is public speaking.  Her dream is to become a motivational speaker and life coach.
