A+ certification sets an industry-wide, nationally recognized standard of basic competency levels in the field of computer service. Earning A+ certification certifies entry-level experience equivalent to approximately six months of field knowledge for computer service technicians. It is a vendor neutral program offered through CompTIA. A+ certification is a building block that sets a strong foundation for other certifications that follow.
