Haiti Relief Websites Evaluation Project
Jan., 2010 - Students in CMSY-129, Principles of the Internet, have been evaluating web sites soliciting donations for Haiti Relief. While most (95%+) are legitimate, some of the new web sites with domain names created in the first few days after the earthquake (Jan. 12), have problems. Students have posted their questions in the comments section of a blog called Brian Krebs on Security. Visit the blog to see their questions, follow up research by others, and the responses generated.
Here is a list of legitimate organizations working on Haiti Relief: Haiti earthquake -- How to Help (from the Washington Post and others) If you have questions about certain Haiti Relief Web Sites, please send them to me at jlafferty@howardcc.edu
