Business and Computer Systems DivisionThe Business and Computer Systems Division invites the community to join us for the Fall 2008 Entrepreneurial Celebration where students showcase business ideas and innovations. This free event is Wednesday, December 3, 2008, in The Rouse Company Foundation Student Services Hall 4th floor with a networking reception at 5:30 p.m. and student presentations beginning at 6:00 p.m.
There will be 2 separate student presentations. Students from HCC’s Entrepreneurship & Creativity course will present their business “Rocket Pitch”. They will be competing against each other and against the clock as they pitch their new business ideas to a juried panel. The students in HCC’s course, "Taking Innovation to Market," will present their analysis of marketplace potential for several new inventions from government-supported research labs such as Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab, NASA Goddard, and USDA. For more information or to RSVP, contact Betty Logan at blogan@howardcc.edu.
HCC's network security programs that are offered through the Business & Computer Systems Division have received the NSA designation of complete compliance with the 4011 standards. Students who graduate from these programs will be eligible for the NSA Certification to the 4011 standard.
