TheatreWelcome to the Theatre Program.
The mission of the Howard Community College Theatre program is to help students discover their creative potential through the interpretational arts of acting, singing, dance, writing, and technical theater, exposing students to the wide range of skills and practices necessary for live theater including technical theater, acting, text analysis, historical research, stage combat, and musical interpretations. We seek to encourage students in critical thinking skills and artistic innovation. The AA degree in theater has three major focuses: performance, musical theater, and technical theater. Students have the opportunity to work with the Rep Stage, a professional theater in residence at the college, and the Student Arts Collective. For questions about any of these programs, please contact Dr. Lisa A. Wilde at lwilde@howardcc.edu or at 410-772-4942.
Rep Stage/Valerie Lash Arts and Humanities Scholarship: Students majoring in theatre or other arts and humanities with a minimum 2.0 GPA are eligible.
