On the first Wednesday of February, 2005, the Music Department of Howard Community College started a new class: MUSC-130, Sec 170. In response to a request from the Florence Bain Senior Center in Wilde Lake and as part of the HCC Music Department’s commitment to bringing music to all the citizens of Howard County, the Senior Choir was born. We meet at the Florence Bain Center every Wednesday morning from 9:45 to 11:15 a.m. during the fall and spring sessions. 

The Senior Choir has some unique requirements: students must be at least 65 years of age to participate and must love to sing and have a good time! Our repertoire includes standards, show tunes, and novelty songs. We perform at the Florence Bain Center and at senior residential facilities in the area. 

Tuition is waived for those over 65 years of age.  Register at HCC anytime or at the Florence Bain Center on Wednesday, September 7, starting at 9:00 a.m.
