 Dance Performance

Welcome to the Dance Department at Howard Community College. Our two dance studios, the Kelemen Studio and the Reparius Studio, are located in the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Building. We hope that you will enjoy your classes with us and the many opportunities they provide to channel your creativity and passion into dance. HCC Dance is a unique program that provides a solid technical foundation for dance majors as well as access to many styles of dance for non-majors. As a dance major, you will receive studio training by award-winning dance faculty and have ample opportunity to perform and choreograph for the Dance Department concerts. If you are a not a dance major but would like to become a better dancer, you can pursue your dance interests in a wide variety of classes, such as Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Modern, Ballroon and Latin Dance, Hip-Hop, and Dance Improvisation. Not sure if you are ready for a dance class?  Take one of our free dance workshops and discover what the department is all about. We will provide you with all the tools you will need to become the dancer you want to be while keeping an eye on the program to which you hope to transfer.

Please check our Calendar/Events for information on upcoming dance concerts, programs, new classes, workshops, and auditions. Dance Department workshops and auditions are open to all HCC students. If you have any questions, please contact Renée Brozic Barger, coordinator of dance, at
