We offer a complete program of courses leading to an associate of arts degree with an arts emphasis. We also offer a certificate of proficiency in graphic design. Our art studio offerings include all of the courses that art majors would typically take as part of the foundation program in a professional school of art. In addition, we offer a variety of intermediate-level courses in various media. We offer a computer-based graphic design program on a Macintosh platform. In addition to studios for drawing/design, painting, ceramics, and 3D art, we also have an art computer lab and the finest photo darkroom facilities in the area. The Howard Community College art galleries are also an important resource for art students. Two student exhibitions and one student-alumni exhibition are presented each year.
