Kasi has been at Howard Community College since 1983, and before becoming a full time faculty member in 2007, she served as both Associate Artistic Director of Rep Stage, HCC’s professional Equity theatre company, and as an adjunct faculty member teaching Acting classes. As a stage director at HCC, her productions have garnered 26 Helen Hayes nominations including 3 for Outstanding Director and 2 for Outstanding Production, and seven Helen Hayes Awards including Outstanding Director in 2004 for The Dazzle.  Her Greater Baltimore Theatre Awards have included 12 nominations: 2 for Outstanding Director and 2 for Outstanding Production, and she received an Outstanding Director Award in 2005 for Kimberly Akimbo. Baltimore City Paper named her “Baltimore’s Best Director” in 2002 for her production of The Mystery of Irma Vep, and cited her production of Faith Healer as “Baltimore’s Best” production of 2003, in addition to including 10 of her productions in Baltimore’s “Top Ten” productions of the year.  Additional credits at Rep Stage include Bach at Leipzig,  Hamlet, The Violet Hour, The Seagull, Arcadia, The Judas Kiss, Travels with My Aunt, Translations, The Road to Mecca, The Lonesome West, Da, The Return to Morality, The Swan, Ambrosio, Jeffrey, Neville’s Island, Gianni Schicchi, The Art of Dining, Cabaret, The Room, The Telephone and several readings of new works.  Kasi has also directed at Indiana University, University of Connecticut, Groton Center for the Arts, the National Puppetry Center and New Stages, Inc.  A member of AFTRA, she performed on an NBC-TV children’s series for three years as well as appearing on Connecticut Public Television.  She has designed for NBC-TV and the Washington Ballet. She has also worked as a grants administrator for the NEA and served as a theatre panelist for the Maryland State Arts Council. In 2005, she received the Howie Award for Outstanding Artist from the Howard County Arts Council.
