• Serve as an advocate for the interests, needs, and rights of freshmen HCC students
• Serve as a mentor to students for academic, co-curricular, and leadership involvement
• Help students adjust and become academically successful
• Attend all freshmen seminar writing classes
• Assist instructor in arranging for visitors and planning community service
• Assist in development of lesson plans and activities
• Assist in facilitating class discussions and presentations
• Communicate regularly with seminar students
• Serve as a liaison for student feedback to the instructor
• Assist in the evaluation process
