Vice President of Administration and Finance
Ms. Lynn Coleman is the vice president of administration and finance. She has been a member of the Howard Community College faculty and staff since 1986, having held the positions of comptroller and then vice president and comptroller during her impressive tenure.
In her current role, Ms. Coleman is responsible for building, safeguarding, and guiding the college’s physical, financial, and human infrastructure. Under her leadership, the administration and finance division consists of finance, human resources, plant operations, security, capital projects, insurance, bookstore/auxiliary services and sustainability initiatives.
Ms. Coleman is active in the Howard County community. She has served on the Family Life Center board, the Leadership Howard County board, and is currently on the Horizon Foundation board.
Ms. Coleman is active in the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) and the Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers (EACUBO) and has served in leadership roles in both organizations.
Ms. Coleman holds a bachelors degree in mathematics from Michigan State University and a master of business administration from Clark Atlanta University, and is a certified public accountant.
