Vice President of Administration and Finance
Lynn Coleman is responsible for building, safeguarding, and guiding the college’s physical, financial, and human infrastructure. Under her leadership, the Administration and Finance division consists of the Finance Office, Human Resources, Plant Operations, Security, and Bookstore/Auxiliary Services.
Working together with the college community, the Finance office assists with providing accurate, consistent, and timely accounting services to students, staff, the county, state, and federal agencies with whom we interact.
The Office of Human Resources advances the practice of human resource management in alignment with the mission, vision, beliefs, and strategic direction of Howard Community College and in compliance with the spirit and the letter of equal employment opportunity, non-discrimination, diversity, and inclusion.
The Plant Operations department provides an environment for a diverse community that fosters learning and teaching excellence. Plant Operations also develops and implements safety and service programs in compliance with government regulations that address all the needs of our staff and the customers we serve.
The Security department is committed to providing a safe campus for our students and visitors. Security provides around-the-clock surveillance, on foot and in vehicles, to protect our community.
The Bookstore supports the college mission and provides both online and in store services for classroom instruction. Dining services offers a wide variety of food options for the college community.
Lynn is active in the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) and the Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers (EACUBO) and has served in leadership roles in both organizations.
