Traces of the Trade: A Story from the Deep North

Photo from Traces of the TradeFilm screening and discussion of Traces of the Trade: A Story from the Deep North (duration of film: 86 minutes). 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. in RCF 400. In this feature documentary filmmaker Katrina Browne discovers that her New England ancestors were the largest slave-trading family in U.S. history. She and nine cousins retrace the Triangle Trade and gain a powerful new perspective on the black/white divide.  The discussion following the film will be facilitated by Tom DeWolf.  Mr. DeWolf is one of the participants in this documentary film and is the author of Inheriting the Trade. Lunch provided.
