The president of Howard Community College will delegate authority to a designated “acting president” for day-to-day, short-term, or long-term absences from the office.  The designated “acting president” will be selected from among the vice presidents in the following order:  academic affairs, information technology, student services, and administration and finance.

On the rare occasion that the president and vice presidents are simultaneously absent from their offices, the president will identify a designee to serve as “acting president.”
