Howard Community College (HCC) employs communication channels that are meaningful and relevant to its constituents.  The college supports engaging students and the community via social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Flickr.  However, due to the unique open-forum nature of these electronic media, HCC recognizes the potential for undesirable or unlawful uses of these sites.  Policies and procedures must be carefully followed by faculty and staff as they participate in social media, regardless of whether their interaction occurs on or off campus.
