Because learning is a cumulative process, pre-existing knowledge of learners shall be recognized through assessment in accordance with American Council on Education recommendations, articulations with non-degree-granting organizations and agencies, evaluation of military transcripts, portfolio assessment, or satisfactory completion of national or institutional examinations for the provision of appropriate credit.
