The Howard Community College instructional calendar will be approved by the college president with input by the president’s team within the state guidelines for credit allocation.

Each semester must contain the equivalent of forty-five 50-minute class periods per three-credit hour course.  Alternate instructional strategies, e.g., online courses and telecourses, are based on equivalent outcomes in student learning.
