Howard Community College is honored to present all of Ludwig van Beethoven's 32 piano sonatas performed by one of the foremost interpreters of his music, Anne Koscielny!
From September 2009 through May 2010, the complete cycle of Beethoven sonatas will be presented over a series of eight concerts in the beautiful Peter & Elizabeth Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center on the Columbia, Maryland campus.
Lectures, Master Classes, the Beethoven Film Festival and more will be available throughout the series to enrich this unique educational and entertaining experience.

Anne Koscielnyhas performed the complete cycle of Beethoven piano sonatas throughout the United States for over 25 years. Her musical lineage can be traced back to Beethoven via great pianists and pedagogues including Robert Goldsand, Emil von Sauer, Franz Liszt, and Carl Czerny; and she has directly studied with prestigious teachers such as Cécile Genhart and Frank Mannheimer.
She is a multiple award-winner, including first prize in the Kosciuszko Chopin Competition in New York City, first prize in the National Guild of Piano Teachers Recording Competition, and a Fulbright Award to study in Austria.
Ms. Koscielny’s London debut in 1972 was a critical success, and she has gone on to perform with orchestras in major cities throughout the world, as well as solo and chamber recitals, including performances with the Guarneri, New Hungarian, American, New World, and Emerson String Quartets. She also has appeared as festival artist and adjudicator for many international piano competitions such as Gina Bachauer, Willam Kapell, Southern Missouri, and New Orleans.
