Howard Community College Board of Trustees Meeting Scheduled for April 30

April 12, 2014

(Columbia, Maryland) – The Board of Trustees of Howard Community College (HCC) will hold a work session and regular meeting on Wednesday, April 30, at 6 p.m. in room 400 of the Rouse Company Foundation Student Services Hall (RCF). A closed session will immediately follow the conclusion of the 6 p.m. regular public meeting to discuss the acquisition of real property for a public purpose and matters directly related thereto as permitted under Section 10-508 (a3) and to consult with counsel to obtain legal advice as permitted under Section 10-508 (a7) and that such meeting shall continue in closed session until the completion of business.

Citizens who wish to present any matter of concern pertaining to the community college shall make written request to the secretary-treasurer of the board at least 72 hours prior to the regularly scheduled public meeting, in order that the matter may be included on the agenda for the meeting. In emergency situations, the board may, by a majority vote, give visitors who have not presented a written request in advance an opportunity to present their concerns to the board in any regular public meeting.  The board, in recognition of the need to complete its business within reasonable time, reserves the right to terminate a presentation of this nature.
