January 7, 2014

(Columbia, MD) – Howard Community College will host a site visit by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) on Wednesday, March 5, and Thursday, March 6, 2014.

The general public, as well as communities of interest – including faculty, students, program administrators, specialty and dental related organizations, patients, and consumers – have 90 days prior to the proposed site visit to solicit third-party comments. Commentators have 60 days after the site visit until the receipt of third-party comments is due to CODA. All comments must be signed when sent to the Commission for review. Signatures will be removed from comments that are made prior to forwarding them to the program.

Only signed comments that pertain to the standards relative to the particular program being reviewed or policies and procedures used in the Commission’s accreditation process will be considered. Comments will be screened by the Commission for relevancy and comments received that are not relevant, the individual will be notified that the comment is not related to the accreditation and, where appropriate, referred to the appropriate agency.

A copy of the appropriate accreditation standards may be obtained by contacting CODA at 211 East Chicago Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611 or by calling 1-800-621-8099, extension 4653. Comments submitted may be mailed to the CODA office.
