Community Market Festival Comes to Howard Community College September 24

(Columbia, MD) – On Tuesday, September 24, 2013, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Howard Community College (HCC) will host its seventh annual Community Market Festival on the HCC Quad to promote the environmental and economic benefits of purchasing from local vendors. This event is designed to introduce students and the community to the concept of purchasing locally, so they can become lifelong supporters of the local economy. Educational materials about the benefits of buying locally will also be available.

The Community Market Festival will feature local and independent merchants selling items such as food, crafts, and pet supplies. Vendors will include familiar local businesses and independent crafters, selling items such as baked goods, coffee, produce, jewelry and handmade soaps.
