Howard Community College Names New Head Coaches of Women’s Basketball and Men’s Lacrosse

(Columbia, MD) - Howard Community College (HCC) Athletic Director Diane Schumacher has announced the hiring of Ebony Edwards as head coach of women’s basketball and Erik Foust as head coach of men’s lacrosse.

Ebony Edwards joins HCC after a successful stint as head coach of women’s basketball at Baltimore City’s Forest Park Senior High School, where she turned the Foresters into a Class 3A playoff contender. Edwards previously served as head coach at Yashviat Ram Bam School and assistant coach at the Friends School. She was an all-county basketball player for Western High School and played on the Army women’s team during her enlistment. Edwards holds a bachelor’s degree from Morgan State University, a master’s degree from Towson University, and a law degree from the University of North Dakota. She is an adjunct business instructor at HCC and a consultant/agent with Edwards & Patel, LLC. She replaces outgoing head coach Tiffany Stewart, who coached the Lady Dragons for nine years. Assisting Edwards are coaches Christopher Anderson and Eryn Withers.

 Erik D. Foust will serve as interim head coach of men’s lacrosse, replacing coach Ken Senisi for the year. Formerly the Dragon’s assistant offensive coordinator, Foust was elevated to the head coach position following the end of the lacrosse season in May. Well known in the Howard County lacrosse scene, he has been the head coach at Wilde Lake and Howard high schools, and is presently an assistant coach at Reservoir High School. Foust has also held coaching positions in Detroit, Michigan, and Manchester, England. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and a master’s degree from Wayne State University. Assisting Foust are coaches William Linthicum and Shane Casey. his fall Howard Community College is offering over 50 new noncredit continuing education courses.
