HCC Names Hanael Bianchi Outstanding Faculty Member for 2012-13

(Columbia, MD) — From a group of seven full-time Howard Community College (HCC) educators recognized by peers as outstanding faculty members in their respective divisions, Hanael Bianchi, assistant professor of history, has been named overall Outstanding Faculty member for 2012-13. As part of this award, Bianchi will lead the faculty procession at HCC’s commencement, address the student honorees at the Dean’s List receptions, and attend a major conference or other professional development activity. 

The other full-time Outstanding Faculty selected from their divisions are:

  • Arts & Humanities: Jenny Male, Assistant Professor, Theatre and Stage Movement; Coordinator, Musical Theatre and Stage Movement; Rep Stage Resident Fight Director; Arts Collective Resident Dialect and Movement Coach
  • Business & Computer Sciences: Jodi Fisher, Assistant Professor, Hospitality Management; Coordinator, Hospitality Management
  • English and World Languages: Sarah Saxer, Associate Professor, ESL; Director, ESL Credit
  • Health Sciences: Rita Pyuzza, Assistant Professor, Nursing
  • Mathematics: Frederic Lang, Associate Professor, Mathematics
  • Science, Engineering, and Technology: Russell Poch, Professor, Physics
  • Social Sciences: Hanael Bianchi, Assistant Professor, History

The 2012-13 Outstanding Adjunct Faculty include:
