
February 28, 2013 Columbia, Maryland — The Board of Trustees of Howard Community College (HCC) will hold two meetings in March 2013: a meeting of the Audit and Finance Committee on Wednesday, March 13 at 8:30 a.m. and a work session and regular meeting on Wednesday, March 27 at 6 p.m. Both meetings will take place in The Rouse Company Foundation Student Services Hall (RCF), with the March 13 meeting taking place in room 401 and the March 27 meeting taking place in room 400. A closed session will follow the regular meeting to consider the acquisition of real property for a public purpose and matters directly related thereto, as permitted under Section 10-508 (a3) of the Maryland Annotated Code. Citizens who wish to present any matter of concern pertaining to the community college shall make written request to the secretary-treasurer of the board at least 72 hours prior to the regularly scheduled public meeting, in order that the matter may be included on the agenda for the meeting. In emergency situations, the board may, by a majority vote, give visitors who have not presented a written request in advance an opportunity to present their concerns to the board in any regular public meeting. The board, in recognition of the need to complete its business within reasonable time, reserves the right to terminate a presentation of this nature.
