
September 14, 2012 HCC’s improv troupe returns for a six-show season featuring its popular brand of improv paired with special guest appearances (Columbia, Maryland) – Howard Community College’s Arts Collective (AC) proudly announces the 2012-13 season of its popular improv troupe, “What Improv Group?!?!” (W.I.G.), featuring six performances spread throughout AC’s upcoming 18th season. Now in its fourth year, W.I.G. promises a unique, wig-wearing take on improv that’s always spontaneous, high on audience participation, and seriously funny. This year, the W.I.G. gang will be joined by special guests at each performance, including local actors and improv groups. Special guests will be announced prior to each show on the AC website. Performances are scheduled for three weekends: September 28 and 29, 2012, November 8 and 9, 2012, and February 8 and 9, 2013. Performances begin at 8 p.m. in the college’s Smith Theatre. “What Improv Group?!?!” features Keith Becraft, Bryan Czerwinski, Keri Eastridge, Kathryn Hamilton, Daniel Johnston, Tom Matera, Shawn Naar, and Jessica Welch. Individual tickets are $12 for general admission and $10 for students with identification. New this year is a special improv subscription series, featuring all six shows for just $30.
