(Columbia, MD) — Marama Farm, located just nine miles away from the HCC campus in Clarksville, MD, will be transformed into a festive arena on Saturday, September 22, 2012, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the 25th annual Howard Community College Grand Prix, where world-class equestrians — including Olympic veterans — compete on a challenging course of obstacles, jumps, twists and turns. Enjoy thrilling competition and great family fun – all while helping students enhance their lives through education. Special attractions include exhibitions, pony rides, boutiques, a pumpkin patch, hay rides, a moon bounce, a musical performance by the band “Misspent Youth,” and more! Proceeds benefit the HCC Educational Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization that provides scholarships for students.
Grand Prix Raffle: The Grand Prize Raffle winner will choose between a 2013 Ford Mustang Convertible, Lincoln MKX Luxury Crossover SUV or Ford F-150 Lariat Series Truck. Other raffle prizes include Drive & Dine Deal gift certificates to local restaurants; golf packages; a wine tasting and tour at Black Ankle Vineyards; tickets to area sporting events; custom jewelry and more! Raffle tickets are $100 each, or 3 for $250, and only 1,200 will be sold.
