Main Howard Community College Entrance to Close for Construction Beginning June 11

June 5, 2012

(Columbia, MD) – Beginning June 11, 2012, the main entrance of Howard Community College (HCC) off Little Patuxent Parkway will be closed for construction. The project, expected to be completed around July 11, will add lanes to improve traffic flow in and out of campus and new walkways for improved pedestrian access. During this time, drivers will need to choose one of two entrances to campus. Parking Lot A and the East Parking Garage will be accessed via the Faculty Drive entrance off Little Patuxent Parkway. All other parking must be accessed by the Hickory Ridge Road entrance. Detour signs will be posted to help steer drivers and security officers will direct traffic from Hickory Ridge Road to alleviate backup from that entrance.
